This is awesome Diva. I had no idea there was so much over there. I'm really in awe of the docks and bridges even though the cube house and feyenoord looks like something you really have to experience in person to fully appreciate it. I hope that other people here can show people like me that haven't traveled far from home what there homes are like.

Well i wass born and raised in the city Rotterdam..

All the things i  posted so far is from the city i live..Ill post some more of my birthplace later..

And i know some Cape Verdean people and some portugeuse people too, My ex came from Angola/africa.. So wheni wass with him i learned some things about the music and food and A LITTLE of the language..My best friend is also Cape Verdean..Imma show you some thingss... ;)

Hey Fam... Here a little bit about where im from...and were i grew up..First a bit of history cause if you see the pics there are allot of Docks and Ships ... So telling you this gives you a view about it...

HISTORY OF Heijplaat

The construction of Heijplaat came at the initiative of ir MG de Gelder Director RDM.In related to the remoteness of the site found the school board needed to build housing in the immediate vicinity of the Amsterdam architect werk.De HAJBaander a garden designed in 1914 by 307 dwellings.
After the second World War, a new housing estate built by the extension of the village has 900 woningen.De most of the street names refer to ships built by RDM
Late fifties was still a small extension to service the dwellings of the GEB (now utilities). The streets there are named after ancient polders located there (see map)

On July 1, 1980 ownership was sold to Our House and in 1990 decided that Heijplaat would be demolished for the expansion of the industry, this decision was reversed after protests from residents.

The new district after the second world war is now nominated to be demolished and replaced with new
