Re：The Game Spot Date Posted：05/15/2014 2:35 PMCopy HTML The Gaming Market has changed so much over the years.Its either a Franchise Series or a First Person Shooter.Yes they have racing games as well but none that stand out as pure fun like Mario Kart.I use to play games hard back in the day but over the last 10 year's I haven't.That's cause the type of games that I play are no longer popular.I could play an RPG for hours and spend days on it.They don't make them like they use to.I was also big on Fighting Games but lost interest more as they became 3D.I would have to say almost 15 years since I really was into games.My PS2 got the most play out of me.I'm a Xbox fan now and while I have played tons of 360 and Xbox One games (well only 5 Xbox One games) I still actually like them better than Sony.Maybe it's my underdog approach on the whole system wars.I use to be a big Nintendo fan until the Wii.They lost me there.Nintendo has taken so many steps back I wonder if they even know what direction to go anymore.The Wii U was a joke.The gimmicks have run out and since they refuse to do what Sony and Microsoft have done,they will stay in last place and lose money.They do have games I want to play but not enough for me to buy the system.Both PS4 and Xbox One need more games and I have yet to find that must have game for me on the Xbox One.I'm not into shooters even though Destiny looks really good.Sunset Overdrive may be my next game.Watch Dogs was never on my list.I need a good addictive sim or rpg to hold me down.Anything with RPG elements will work too.

I remember thinking back to how there were no such things as "save points". You either had to finish one part of the stage or start over. That's just how it was. Video games now are far to easy now for kids. They have the option of picking up where they left off without doing much hard work. Another thing I think that is really not doing it for me with video games is DLC. I hate it with a passion. First, why buy the game, wait for the DLC, and pay extra for it when all they're going to do is re-release the game with all of the DLC and at a cheaper price than the original without? So there's that. And we are saturated with FPSs. I don't knock any one who wants to buy the next COD, but that really isn't my bag. After Modern Warfare II, I had no need to play it any more. There is so much more I can add, exclusive rights, not enough high quality first party support (MICROSOFT is good for not producing games from their own studios). Anyhoo, without really going into detail, as I am sure we will discuss this later, here is what I am currently playing

Re：The Game Spot Date Posted：07/01/2016 10:59 PMCopy HTML I need to hook this game topic up but I'm going to once I know I have an audience.I want to start by doing Top 5's and I was going to say what your top 5 video games of all time but that can be tough depending on how many games you have played over your lifetime.Now I don't play as much as I use to but back in the day I played a Lot of Nintendo and Super Nintendo games so that list would be so hard to make so I'm going to do it by genre and start with Top 5 Fighting games.Now I mean game and not series.Me being able to get a hold of Neo Geo games expanded my list cause Fatal Fury Real Bout was one of my favorites.World Heroes Perfect was another.Then the standard Street Fighter games but my favorite from that series...damn I got some new poll ideas too.My favorite was Capcom Vs SNK.I love Capcom but SNK had some of my favorite fighters.I was never into Mortal Kombat so they don't make the list but Killer Instinct was my shit.Honestly the one on Xbox One is good but doesn't feel like the original on the Super Nintendo.Last would probably be Tekken.The original with Tekken 2 right behind it but I was so nasty with Nina that once I got a hit in,it was over.That's my list.What's yours?

I agree with a lot of what Adonis said. I am a classic gamer. I like games like Centipede, Double Dragon and stuff like that. So, I am heavy into the emulator scene so I can still play my old favorites. My Xbox 360 and PS3 are hacked so I can put homebrew emulators on them and the collection I got is pretty phat. I used to be a "gamer" back in the day with magazines, games, game genie codes, and all that. My time to play games is pretty short so I can't do most of today's games. The Wii was cool because I like shooting games with the Wii Remote. |
