Its really hard to be black in this day an age as we are gunned down,abused,mistreated and thrown in jail for any little thing.Now it seems to be just an American thing or so it seems.Cause if they could "cleanse" the world of black people they would.They want to take our culture and make it their own but get rid of us in the process."They want to act like a nigger but don't want to be a nigger".A term I have seen before.So as I read an article about how the new James Brown movie Get On Up was written and produced by mainly whites.So how can an almost all white crew make a movie about a Iconic Black Man?So that's just one part.Back to the way we are treated.A White Woman and a Black Women can do the same crime but the Black Women will lose so much more in the process along with being abused.Example they one black lady that had to leave her daughter in the car for a job interview that was homeless over the while lady that put her daughter's car seat on top of the car and drove off and didn't realize that her baby fell off the car and was left behind.But who loses their child to the system? Now the Staten Island story of the guy that was taken down by 6 cops and died cause they choked him out.So why is the guy that recorded the video now under arrest for "gun charges".So what is a black man or woman to do?First it was just the men in danger but it has leaked over to women.So are we safe?Do you feel safe with being black these days?

The nonsense that is going on in Baltimore is just setting things back for Black People.Yes police brutality is out of hand.What happened in Ferguson was out of hand and the riots there were bad but we understood.It wasn't right but we understood what people were mad at.They protest and they did riot after the verdict.Even with what happened in South Carolina with that cop killing Walter Scott was protested and not done this way.Yes its conflicting stories on what's really going on in Baltimore.Yes Freddy Gray shouldn't of been killed but don't burn your city down cause of it.What are you proving by doing that.You are just making it worse.I hate racism with a passion but how is this making things better.Be better as a people and cut the bullshit out.Don't act like savages.We will always be treated like savages.

Sometimes you have to do your research well.While I don't think violence is the answer.I do understand it.How can they judge us when they used violence to get what they wanted.How can they judge us when this county was built on violence and the backs of blacks.But we are suppose to be more civilized than this.We made laws and we are all supposed to be treated equal.So why aren't we.It's because we have no more use to them.We aren't slaves and if we aren't entertaining them then what use do we have?
I'm not racist and I don't come across racism.At least not directly in my face.I'm almost in a bubble.I live in New York city which is as diverse as it comes and work on Wall St which is safe.I go to work and go back home.The most racism I come across is on the internet.But I understand how black people feel.It hurts and black people are fed up.They have no answers.What else can be done?

Dre, I agree that we are sheltered somewhat from racism..except when it comes to housing. One of the fundamental that black folks are missing is respect...respect from society, respect from our community, respect from each other. When we show each other respect, we can live with dignity. We don't feel less than and are not treated as second class citizens. We can earn living wages and won't have to work multiple jobs just to take care of ourselves and our families. People are fed up and frustrated that we have to keep repeating the same scenerios of burying innocent black people. We have to value each other's lives and stop treating each other like crap. It's only then that society will value our lives as well. We need to stop using and degrading each other and expect others to value us. It starts with us on a united front.

 To me I feel in this world today we are all wrong ! You are not born with Racism it is taught . What's going on in Baltimore is a shame .... we as black kings and queens need to understand that every time we come down to their level they are loving it ! The more we do the the more they have something to talk about or say these black people are uneducated or stupid ! We need to start teaching are children the fundamentals of this world , and that this world will eat you up and spit you out in the day ! Real Talk ... I have two beautiful daughter's and I'm trying to raise them to be beautiful women but the more we play into the hands of this democracy and ignorance we will never go anywhere . It's a shame ! Everytime I see a black young man I just want to hug him and say I love you .... but it's also the responsibility of some of these parents and father's , half of these white cops just becoming cops to shoot and kill are black men , we need to wake the hell up !!!! VIOLENCE ON VIOLENCE DON'T FIX NOTHING IT AGGREVATES IT !

So as I read your blog or your thoughts, there are a few things that cross my mind.  I'm from MS... I'm old enough to remember not being able to go into certain places and even have to use the back door.  I've watched my city and neighboring cities grow from all of that including being plauged with the KKK. I've seen black people being treated as second class citizens even by black people.  I'm light skinned and even that stigma is prevalent today. I've been in fear of certain cops - black included - in my lifetime but not because I was black but rather because they didn't like black people - if you can understand the difference.  I now live in a city that was once all white.  I feel safe in this city and have lived here for the last 13-14 years.  I've been stopped by the police several times and have been treated with respect.  So, do I feel safe being black... yes, I do.  I have had significant backing from white people whereas black people would not raise their hand to help me. I can't say that ALL white people are bad or want to be black because they get a tan or sag their pants and rap or hang out with black people.  I'm sorry for the troubles that Baltimore has seen and the recent outbreaks in other cities.  You made reference to the James Brown movie and how can white people accurately portray a movie about a black man... well, I enjoyed the movie.  It never crossed my mind who wrote or produced the movie.  I live in a world where I concentrate on things that I can control. 

I think that sometimes, if the black guy looking for a decent job would fill out the application neatly and correctly, came in with a pressed shirt and belted, hair combed, and experience or education, he might would be considered over the white guy.  (I know plenty of black men in positions with high paying jobs... please stop blamming the 'white man'.) 

Just the other week, the guy across from me had the cops called on him for trespassing.  The black dude didn't have on a shirt and his pants were sagging way down... he was just screaming curse words and this, that and the other.  It was just one cop at first.  After all of the screaming and yelling, the cop felt as though he should call for back up.  I would have too because now, all of his friends have shown up.  Now, there are 5 extra units at the scene.  All the young black dude had to do was talk to the cop in a respectful manner as he was being treated and all the extra wouldn't have been necessary.  I felt scared and I was across the street.  I can imagine how the cop felt.  Had it went down differently, I can honestly see how the cop would have pulled his weapon out for fear of his life.  I said that to say this... we bring somethings on ourselves. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that he would have deserved to die but I can see the fear the situation generated.  I'm not saying that all men that wear their pants sagging are thugs but if they respected themselves more, I could see a change in the way they were treated.  Lil Wayne wears his pants that way for image mainly but he's in that life.  He's a rapper.  I'm not really going to listen to a manager with his pants down to his knees.  I'm not. I'm going to think he's a joke.  I think if we as a whole would do better, then we would be treated better.  Those are my thoughts... I'm sure I left out some... I hate doing this because now I am going to be judged or looked at another way.  It's okay... I put my big girl draws on and I'm ready.

No judging here.I do understand the point of what your saying.If we carried ourselves better then we would get treated better.At least that is what we hope for.No need to act or should I say be ignorant cause they will just think that's how we all are.What kills me is that we care how our own people think of us.Maybe we aren't acting black enough.Maybe we are acting to white or trying to be white when we are just acting properly.You think I act like I'm from the streets when I deliver the packages to the bank employees? I work on Wall St.2 places on Wall St.1 Wall St and 60 Wall St Been there for years.I act accordanly.I might still dress like I'm from the streets but that's cause everyone knows me and I get the job done.We as a people need to come together and get right.There should be a class call Home Training in school.lol.Cause some people don't have it.

Violence isn't the answer.What they feel is hopelessness.They feel that since they use violence on them then they should return the favor.But destroying your community won't get anything done and we will always be known as savages.

Harsh truth is that we will never be treated equally.Not all white people are bad or think so backwards but there is a lot that still do and will never change.We just have to act civilized.Act like we have sense so when we are done wrong they can't use anything against us.Racism will never truly go away.They just don't want to think differently about us.Not all but some.Just always remember that.

I really would post in here more but I always have to drag people in here to start a conversation.This world we live in is not meant for black people.This last incident in South Carolina at the Emanual African Methodist Episcopal Church where Dylann Roof shot up the people in church after being in there with the church goers for an hour.Did it cause he wanted to start a Race War.Killed 6 women and 3 men.But said that he was upset that we were raping their women and taking over the country.For the record Blacks are 12% of the population of this country.We might be on TV more but I guess since our president is Black is why we are taking over the country.But the police got him and took him in peacefully.Do they ever do that with black people.Nah they treat us like shit no matter if we are doing an actual crime.Want an example.I mean remember the pool incident.How they treated the young teenage girls.This country is fucked up in so many ways and some people still have that backwards mentality that ruled this country 60 years ago.

Haven't posted in here in a few weeks,not since the Church Shooting.Sandra Bland was earlier this month and every day there seems to be a new killing every other day.Sam Dubose killed in cold blood and the police tried to cover it up.All these cover ups like its Open Season to kill black people.Not just men anymore as they are now killing black women and getting away with it.This country has went backwards.

San Francisco Police DepartmentDescription: 14 San Francisco Police Officers were found to have sent outrageously racist texts between one another including texts in which they speak of killing African Americans, hanging African Americans, cross burnings, using racial slurs about African Americans inside of the department, comparing African Americans to animals, speaking of white power, and more.
People: Known officers include Michael Robison, Noel Schwab, Rain Daugherty and Michael Celis; also, former officer Ian Furminger, who is now in prison on corruption charges

Much Prayer is needed for all people. Regardless of the situations nothing will change Unless people change. Peple do better when they know better and are informed. So perhaps police need More if not better training- and the people Need to know all they rights. Stand up for one another at all times, not just when it affects you.

I get that the country in the "beginning" was pretty much ignorant and racist.But didn't understand why the south was so big on it.Watching this video and hearing what Ruby Bridges had to go through.Like what the fuck was wrong with people.I should say white people.Now I'm not racist.Hell I work on Wall St.But when you know the history of this country then you have to say that its truly fucked up.I use to experience racism when I use to do Stickam and every so often some motherfucker would come in my room and say look at this big nigger.Big lip nigger and I would quickly kicking them out the room but it would ruin my mood for the night.We got it easier now but in ways we are going backwards and these cops are out here just to kill especially in Chicago and in the mid west down to the south.There is probably so much more going on without us knowing cause the states and government will hide it quickly.See how they did Sandra Bland.You don't hear nothing about that anymore.We all know she didn't kill herself.

Well that video pretty much just states how much he was liked in polls which probably didn't allow black people to vote but then again we are the minority so it didn't matter.The more he did for Black people the more unpopular he became till they got rid of him.

Not now but back then I believe we would.We appreciated having something back then and strive to really survive.If we got in just like white people did then we would of worked for it.Yes nowadays as a people we don't appreciate shit like we use to and its a shame.
